CBIO - ANP - B3

The CBIO is issued by biofuel producers or importers and registered by financial institutions so that they can be traded on the financial market. They can be acquired, for example, by fossil fuel distributors to meet legal targets within the RenovaBio program, or companies that wish to offset their carbon emissions.

RenovaBio was established by Law 13,576/17, with the objectives of: Meeting Brazil's commitments to the Paris Agreement; Promote the adequate expansion of biofuels in the energy matrix; Induce gains in energy efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the production, commercialization and use of biofuels.

CO2 Trade provides a direct service channel with bookkeepers to help meet mandatory compensation demands indicated annually as goals defined by the ANP.
